Easy, Organic Growth in the Kitchen or on the Patio

Hardy and healthy, the Meyer Lemon Tree is a prolific producer of delicious, crisp lemons. Vivid yellow and orange hues pop against glossy evergreen foliage, making this houseplant a beauty that’s bountiful.

Plus, fast, organic growth means that you can harvest your fruit without the use of chemicals. When you order a large-sized Meyer Lemon Tree, you’ll have lemons the very first season. Meyer Lemons ripen over several months rather than all at once, so you’ll enjoy your healthful, organically-grown lemons even longer. And because they’re naturally sweeter than standard lemons, lemons plucked from your Meyer Lemon Trees are ideal for creating healthy, nutritious lemonade – no processed sugar or artificial sweeteners required.

Even better, the Meyer Lemon Tree’s citrus blossoms impart a rich, aromatic scent to your home or outdoors. This tree’s fragrance is reminiscent of a Jasmine-citrus blend and its blooms self-pollinate, so this amazing scent and crisp fruit are produced with just one tree.

The Meyer Lemon Tree is highly adaptable, long-lived and capable of producing thousands of dollars’ worth of fruit over a 30-year period, all organically. When you purchase your Meyer Lemon Tree from Fast-Growing-Trees.com, you’ll be able to pick fruit up to 3-5 years sooner because your new tree is grafted, not grown from seed. The top of a mature Meyer Lemon Tree is grafted onto the rootstock of a cold-hardy, disease-resistant citrus tree. The result? A new Meyer Lemon Tree that starts producing fruit right away.

And because your Meyer Lemon Tree arrives in its own container, with all of its roots intact in a large, thorough root system, it’s ready for immediate, super-fast growth. Fresh, organic lemons right in your backyard? There’s nothing better than harvesting your own healthful fruit from home. Order your organic Meyer Lemon Tree today!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: It is best to plant the Improved Meyer lemon tree in a warm, sunny area where the soil drains well. Six hours (or more) of direct sun is best for the tree.

Select a container 1-2 pot sizes larger than what it initially arrived in to allow the Meyer lemon tree s roots room to spread. Fill the bottom of your pot with a 2-inch layer of crushed stone to improve drainage. Fill pot 1 3-full of potting soil. Score the roots of the Improved Meyer lemon tree to promote growth and bury it at the same depth it was planted in its previous pot. Layer with 2 inches of compost. Water well and place near a South-facing window for the necessary sun exposure.

2. Watering: Allow the soil to dry down to 2 inches between waterings. Never let your Improved Meyer remain in standing water.

While the roots prefer to stay on the dry side, citrus leaves love humidity. Indoor Citrus will do best if misted daily especially when you are running your heat during cooler months.

3. Fertilizing: It is also recommended to apply 2 to 3 inches of organic matter under the canopy of the tree to conserve moisture. An Improved Meyer must be fertilized every four to six weeks from February to August to ensure a healthy grow cycle and be pruned every one or two years to keep them within bounds and easy to pick.

FGT Tip: Yellowing leaves may indicate the need for more fertilizer.

4. Pruning: Prune as needed to maintain your tree s shape. Clip off any branches that are too long. Remove branches growing toward the trunk of the tree instead of away from it. This will maintain airflow between the branches.
