Why Dieffenbachia Dumb Cane Plants?
The vibrant Dieffenbachia plant, also known as the Dumb Cane Plant, has been rated amongst the top five house plants on the market – and understandably so. For starters, it maintains its vibrant color year-round and is low-maintenance, nearly thriving on neglect.
Even better? You control its size when you choose its container. And impressive, non-stop vitality takes hold, with oblong, large broad foliage in a colorful mixture of greens, yellows and whites that are forever present. The Dieffenbachia has the amazing ability to maintain its color and vitality through the cold months and beyond. You’ll be accompanied by the plush colors of the tropics even when there is snow on the ground.

Planting & Care
1. Planting: During the winter months, the Dumb Cane enjoys bright light. As for spring and summer, it does well with indirect light and a bit of dappled shade. However, the Dieffenbachia prefers warm temperatures, so be sure to keep it away from drafty areas.
When you re repotting or planting your Cane, select a container that s twice the width of the shipped container and one that has drainage holes.
2. Watering: Water your Cane Plant lightly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not soggy. A good rule of thumb: Put your finger in the soil to check its level of moisture. There is no need to water until you have a full inch of dryness starting from the top of the soil.
FGT Tip: Our only recommendation: Don t ingest the leaves or touch the plant s milky sap. The leaves contain a poison that can cause a temporary inability to speak if ingested (giving the plant its namesake, dumb ). Also, the plant’s milky sap can irritate the skin. It’s recommended that children and pets be kept far from reach of the plant, but otherwise, this magnificent tropical beauty is a prime pick.
