Planting & Care
1. Planting: Itās super easy to maintain: Pollinated by honey bees, pet safe (as long as your pets donāt eat it), and relatively fast-growing, gaining 24 to 30 inches in one growing season. But your Lavender Standard needs proper care!
Start by selecting a location with full sun (at least 6 hours of sun per day) and well-drained soil. Then, dig a hole thatās at least two or three times wider than your plantās root ball. Once youāve placed your plant, back fill its soil, tamp down to avoid air pockets and lastly, water to help establish its roots.
2. Watering: Simply water your Lavender Standard as the weather dictates ā and allow any water to drain so that your roots do not become oversaturated. As long as soil is well-drained (but not overdry), your Lavender Standard should thrive.
If youāre not sure when to water your plant, however, simply check its surrounding soil, down to around 2 or 3 inches. If you feel that the soil is dry, itās time to water to moistness.
